Grounded (open)

Waking up, Dylgo takes a careful look around. Realizing she was in a hospital bed, she remembers the events of the previous couple days. Things were pretty depressing for Dylgo. She hated being grounded. worse yet, she hated keeping her wings still. The doctors realigned her wing and folded it so they could bandage it still. they had left her good wing free, but it did little good with her other wing out of commission. Hearing the door open, she looks over to see the doctor with an X-ray.

"Well Miss Dylgo, your wing has been successfully realigned. We would just like to keep you here for a day or two to keep an eye on your recovery. in a month or two, you should be flying just fine again." the doctor said, looking over the X-ray. "A month or two?!" Dylgo exclaimed, laying her head back in frustration. "Might as well be forever!"

"You're safe and on the road to perfect health. That's what matters here Miss Dylgo." "Thanks Doc." She said as the doctor walked out. it's going to be a long couple of days. sighing in frustration, she realizes her book was probably still out in that clearing. looking outside, she could see the pegasi moving the clouds. it just made her feel the need to get out of here more.

Dylgo was looking out the window when the door opened. it was really good to see her new friend had found her. "I got in a race with another pegasus out in Whitetail. my wing clipped a tree, sending me tumbling. The other pegasus saved me. out a splint on my wing, found food and shelter, even brought me here on his back. He left before I could thank him though." Dylgo imagined she looked pretty bad. both her mane and her tail were a mess, she had bruises and cuts everywhere, and there was no hiding the bandages.

Dylgo leaned over and hugged her unicorn friend. "Thank you for coming by. I was really hoping I'd see you. The doctor says I'll be here for a couple days, but I'll be grounded for a month or two."

"He was wearing a suit and tinted glasses, so I couldn't see much of him. his mane was light blue and white if it helps." she said, releasing her friend. "oh! his wings were blue as well. he sound familiar?"

Laying back in her bed, she looks at Steam, wondering if the stallion would show up sometime.

Flame disk was walking by the hospital. he was wearing his usual tinted glasses, and he was waiting for a friend to meet him there. he paced back and forth, occasionally looking at the hospital, the tinted glasses reflecting light back towards the hospital.

Dylgo smiled at her unicorn friend when a glimpse of light caught her attention. the tinted glasses made her sit up. walking up to the window, she opens it up.

"Hey! You! with the tinted glasses?" she said, waving her hoof. "Can you come up? You look familiar!" Dylgo really hoped this was him.

flame disk looked up at Dylgo. he shrugged and began to walk over to the hospital, not really knowing who it is.

Dylgo goes back to her bed and lays down. She looked at her unicorn friend and smiled. "The glasses looked familiar." she said shrugging.

Flame disk finally made it to Dylgo's room and knocked on the door. he had taken off his sunglasses when he came in so that he could see a little better.

getting up when she heard the door, she flapped her good wing in excitement. if this was him, she finally had the chance to thank him. opening the door, she's greeted by a unicorn. "Oh, were you the one that was wearing the tinted glasses out there?" she said.

the hospital gown was really uncomfortable. she didn't normally wear clothes for a reason. the bandages underneath only made it worse. her wrapped wing being pressed against her side by more bandages meant she was moving her good wing more often.

Flame disk nodded and looked at Dylgo. "so, did you need anything?" he asked, shifting from hoof to hoof. he wasn't really comfortable talking to people he didn't know.

"Oh." she said, slightly disappointed. "no disrespect, but I thought you were somepony else." Dylgo hates disrespect and disappointment, so she naturally hoped she wasn't being a pain.

"I apologize if I pulled you away from something."

Flame shook his head. "Nah. i was just waiting for a friend. i don't think he's gonna show up, though." he said, shrugging a little. "anyways, you sure don't need anything? i can help out with anything you need."

"I don't really need anything. Thanks though." She said smiling at the Unicorn. "you can stay and talk while you wait for your friend if you want." she said walking back to her bed. sitting in her bed, she fusses with her bandages. it was uncomfortable the last time she broke her wing and it was still uncomfortable.

Flame shrugged. "okay." he said, sitting down. He looked around the room, at times looking at the door to see if anyone came through.

Steam was lost in thought after hearing the colt's description. Could it really be him? It was a long time since she last saw the colt in question, about two and a half years if she remembered correctly. Could he actually be in Ponyville? Steam thought it would be best to just let things go with the flow. Knowing the colt would leave some clues during his visit.

When she snapped out of it, there was already another pony inside the room. "Sorry, I drifted off in thought. Hello, my name's Steam Heart." she introduced herself to the colt. His glasses looked familiar but only with a different tint.

When Dylgo finally got her bandages to be somewhat comfortable, Steam had spoken up. deciding not to say anything, Dylgo goes back under the blanket. unfortunately, the act of going back under the blanket made her bandages uncomfortable again. it was useless. she just couldn't get comfortable in the multiple layers she has on.

(by the way, flame's a stallion. he's not a colt.)

Flame looked over at steam heart. "hi. im flame disk." he said, walking over. "Dylgo asked me to come into here. he thought i was someone else, though. i was waiting for a pegesus friend of mine. when he called me over."

(Stallion's too much of a mouthful for me XD)

"Ahh I see. I thought you were one of her friends." Steam noticed that Dylgo was uncomfortable with those bandages so she used her magic to give a gentle massage to the wing while also trying to make the bandages a little more comfortable by loosening it a bit, just enough so it didn't apply any excess pressure on the broken wing. "How's that? Felling better?"

"Much better. Thank you." Dylgo said. Steam really had done the trick. the bandages were tight enough to keep her wing still but were loose enough to forget. She never liked the Hospital, but at least now she was safe and comfortable. it was a major improvement over her predicament from just a day ago.

Flame got up and walked over to the window. "so, what happened to you?" he asked, looking at dylgo. He was strangely curious as to what happened to break Dylgo's wing.

(that sounded morbid. sorry.)

"I was racing another pegasus a couple of days ago. we went too deep into Whitetail Wood by mistake and my wing hit a tree." she said pointing her hoof at her broken wing. "He was amazing. he put a splint on my wing, found shelter and food, and flew me here on his back. he even stood guard overnight while I slept. I would probably still be stuck out there if it wasn't for him. But he left right after he dropped me off here. I never even got to give him a proper Thank you." Dylgo flapped her good wing as she mentioned him flying her to the hospital.

Flame thought about this for a while. "you know, the friend i was waiting for said that he had to meet someone here, and he said something about the whitetail wood. i think he was there around the time you were." he said, looking out the window again.
