Dumps of dreams.

Candy Spark trotted over to a huge, green (with mold) and stinking bin that had a black lid. She was dragging a trash bag in her teeth and used her blue magic to lift the lid and threw the dingy black plastic bag into it. "Ugh!" she grunted quietly and kicked the green bin with hatred. She hated taking out the trash because it was heavy and the bin where everyone put their bags. If only her buisness would pick up and she could live somewhere, anywhere, else!

Renaultar was back on patrol in the streets. It had been weeks since he was initially injured in that fight, but now he was happy to be back walking the beat. It was hard for him to get used to only having one eye, his other now covered with an eye patch, but the guardpony figured he would get over it.

His armor was feeling a little on the heavy side this time since he had been out of them for so long, but that would change in due time. For now though, his attention was on the pony kicking the dumpster.

Hmm. Too bad i wasn't here sooner. Could have helped.

"Everything all right?"

Candy Spark immidiatly spun around, her glaring eyes and angry expression turned to a happy smile. "Oh, I'm fine!" she laughed, hopping over to him.

Renaultar smiled back. "Ah, good to hear. I was worried that there was less than good things going on when i heard some racket back here. Alleys are not very safe." He felt a small chill at how his last experience in an alley got him in the hospital.

Candy nodded understandingly. She had heard horrible stories. She stood still awkwardly before lifting a hoof gingerly and laying it down again. "I'm Candy Spark, and you are...?" she introduced herself kindly to the colt.

"Deputy Renaultar Shielder. Manehattan Guardpony. At your service." He bowed his head proudly.

Candy's eyes sparkled with pleasure. "Well, Mr. Shielder, what brings you to Manehattan?" she asked politley.

Renaultar blinked a few times, wondering if maybe she was either daft or crazy. "Well, uh...I'm in Manehattan because i work and live here. I'm a cop." He pointed to his armor. "Never been outside of the city really."

Candy nodded and and pulled out a bag from her sachel and gave him the plastic bag that was full of original sweets from way back, but tey were fresh.

This pony is getting really....odd. He thought as the candy was placed before him.

"Oh...Um. Thank you. My mom always told me not to take candy from strangers, but i think I'm an exception here." He smiled and happily accepted them. "I take it you're a candy maker of sorts?"

"Oh yes!" Candy said, her eyes instantly lighting up as she went on, "I make my on candy and sell it in Sparkling Sweet, it's on the shoppers street."

Renaultar smiled and nodded. "Ah, i thought i saw a new shop coming up. Ill have to stop by more often. I make it a point to say hello to all the store keepers when i pass by and check on everyone."

Candy nodded politley, not sure how to respond. "So, what's the funniest thing that somepony ever reported to you?" she asked, her eyes twinkling in curiousity.

Renaultar chuckled at that question. Boy did he have a few stories. "Hah, Well there are several. One of my favorites was this one pony who would always call in for help and say there were aliens living in his house. That no one could see them. He would call every week and we would just send someone over and tell him to calm down. One day i was called over, and i decided to have a little fun. I took out a fake magic wand and told him it was my anti alien wand and began to wave it around every room as if i was combating the invisible aliens. He even was cheering me on and pointing out aliens and all. After it was all said and done he thanked me and never called back ever again."

Candy laughed, "Any others?" she asked, hoping there were a few more stories in this colt.

"Well, there was the easiest thief to catch ever. He robbed a convenience store, but before he did, he signed up for a prize raffle, complete with his name and address, right there at the counter. The store clerk just let him take what he wanted and just pointed to the sign up sheet when we got there. The thief was baffled how quick we found him."
