An interesting houseguest

Switchblade helped DJay across the threshold into the house. "Well, here we are." he said casually, leading her to the sofa to put her leg up while he thought about the best place for her to stay, he decided to ask her himself "So which room would you like to be in?" he asked.

"Doesn't matter to me. Actually, the room that gets the least sun. Like, none at all. Zero. Zilch." She said leaning back ion the couch yawning. Her yawn was timed perfectly, the sun's light being seen on the horizon. "Now would be great..." She whispered as she fell asleep. Her body curled up minus her broken leg and her ams dropped over her face and her ears went down.

Switchblade realised the effects that the sun would have on DJay, so he levitated her up from the sofa and took her down to the basement as it never got any light, he set her on a bed in the corner then spent the daylight hours searching through files until the night came.

DJay awoke and no light filtered in the room she was in. Her eyes scanned the room. "Nice place for me. No light in here and it's dark out now too." She mumbled to herself. She stood on her legs then collapsed in pain. "Right, broken leg." She muttered through gritted fangs. She flapped her wings and flew cautious up into the main part of the house. "SWITCHBLADE IM HUNGRY! CAN YOU MAKE ME A MANGO SMOOTHIE WITH A PLATE OF MANGOS?" DJay yelled as she settled herself in the living room.

A sound could be heard upstairs that sounded like the grating of plates of metal sliding back into position as Switchblade came downstairs, he nodded at DJay "Sure thing, I'll be right back." he said as he went to a small off room that he used as his makeshift kitchen, he got some mangoes out and blended half of them to make a smoothie and put the rest on a plate then carried them through to DJay.

DJay smiled really wide and reached for them. She licked her lips as she grabbed they tray and greedily ate the mangos and drank the smoothie. "This is DELICIOUS! Better than any bat pony i've ever met has made." She said with a mouthful of mangos.

Switchblade smiled at the compliment "Thanks, although you can't go too wrong with smoothies, it's just about knowing when to stop blending." Switchblade was certainly starting to rank this day as one of the weirdest, he looked at DJay "Oh, and I've been searching through files for clues on your siblings' whereabouts."

"Really!?" She said nearly dropping her plate and drink but saving them. "Find anything!?" She said her wings starting to unfold out of happiness.

Switchblade shook his head slowly "Nothing yet, but the archives are very extensive and I've barely made a dent in it, but the fact that they are not in the deceased list is a good start."

"Thank LUNA! Check her royal guard list. That could be easier. It lets me know where they are." DJay said setting down her mangos and getting on 3 legs hobbling over.

Switchblade nodded "Probably best that you help me search." he said, leading her upstairs to his room where there was already several stacks of files that had been looked through, he opened the secret compartment and walked into the room, bookcases lined the walls with files in, all organised in sections.

"Cool." DJay said her eyes wide with awe. Her eyes searched the darkest part of the room and found Luna's Royal Guards. She flew over and grabbed the ones that look most recently made and slammed them on the table. "Let's get looking'" She said and started picking up papers and skimming through them.

Switchblade searched through the files as well, suddenly his eyes fell upon one file named 'censored units' he skimmed through the file then quickly moved it to the other side of the room.

DJay looked thoroughly then slammed her hoof an the table and growled. In the Trainee section a few names were written, but one stood out: Lunar Glare. She flipped a few pages and hissed again. Another name stood out. Officers: Poison Night. She wanted to scream but knew it would pain her. "I HATE LUNA! SHE TOOK THEM FROM THE ORPHANAGE! WHY THEM! WHY COULDN'T IT BE ANY OTHER FOALS!" She yelled angrily. Her ears rang but she ignored it. The pain in her head pounding and throbbing. DJay turned and flew downstairs into the basement into the corner and curled up crying. "Now I can never get them back..." She whispered to herself.

Switchblade, who was just walking back to continue searching, nearly got knocked into the wall by DJay's outburst, he decided to chase after her, for he did know a way to get them out of the military, he arrived at the basement and walked down slowly, his boots clanking on the steps.

"Go away..." DJay said quietly. Curling herself deeper into her ball form. "I don't wanna talk." She said. Sobs messing up her speech.

Switchblade walked over to DJay, he stopped a few metres away from her "Hey, hey, it's allright to be upset; I know how you feel, but the worst thing to do is push away help." he said soothingly.

She looked up at him her eyes red from the tears. "Thanks, but I just want to be alone for now..." She said getting up and hobbling to her bed then curling up under the covers. Her sobs loud and clear.

Switchblade decided to let her have some time alone, he headed back upstairs and went over to the secret room containing the archive, he then walked to the back of it and triggered the opening mechanism for the room behind it; a armory like room where he put his helmet on a shelf and relaxed there.

DJay fell asleep long before the sun came up, having cried herself to sleep. She woke up and the sun was out but not reaching her room in the basement. She walked up the stairs and opened the door then her eyes and screeched and ear splitting screech. She fell down the stairs hitting her leg and head multiple times before ending on the floor unconscious.

Switchblade heard the scream and sprinted downstairs and ran to the basement, from there he found DJay on the floor, quickly he closed all of the curtains in the house, put her on the sofa, and got an ice pack and first aid kit, he put the ice pack on her head and waited to see if she would become responsive.

DJay awoke as quickly as she went unconscious. She was panting and she couldn't see anything. She opened her eyes and her vision was dark and blurry. She blinked a couple of times and soon she was seeing straight. Her leg throbbed with pain and she felt her head. Liquid. She pulled her hoof away and there was a little bit of crimson on it. She sighed and laid her head back softly. "I am a mess......" She said. Her hair was ruffled and she put a hoof over her face as if to shield the darkness from reaching her eyes.

Switchblade nodded "Yes, it's not your best look, I must say." he said while putting a damp cloth over the wound "Luckily it appears that you still have full cognitive ability."

"Big words I don't understand. Dumb it down a bit." She said with humor in her voice. Her hair was messy, wisps of it everywhere. Luckily it was short or it would have been worse.

Switchblade smiled "It means that you didn't get any brain damage from the injury, now take a deep breath; this next part might sting." he said, putting an antiseptic dressing around the wound.
