Stormy comes to share a tale.

He entered the bar fully ready for what laid ahead. He walked calmly to the bar knowing full well what he was about to do could have disastrous results, but he had to do it, he simply had to. The bartender turns to him with a slight neutral almost frowning face as he cleaned a mug with magic as in floated next to him. Stormy grins as he says, "Why the long face? AHAHAHAHahaahahhaha." He bangs his hoof on the counter busting up for what seemed a minute or so. He looks back at the bartender to see what his reaction was. The bartender stood there straight face, saying nothing to Stormy. He lifts up a glass and it floats over to the tap as water poured in it. He then slide it in down the counter to Stormy, turned and walked to help another costumer.

Shala had a similare reaction to the bartender. Considering what kind of ponies lived in this town, not many came to drink real bar drinks. At least not as much as she does. She seriously had to find a new hobby before the bartender charged her rent or hired her.

He turned gazing around till he saw Shala and a grin spread across his face. He turned to the bartender and pointed to you. The bartender merely floated over the drink he saw you last having as stormy followed it to where you were. "Hello there Shala, how are you?" He sat down with a grin.

Shala internally winced when the jokester pony drew attention to her. Oh great. He is comming this way. She prepared herself for terrible advances.

She sighed and shrugged to herself. "I was fine. Then I heard that joke. Now I feel like I died inside."

Even though she usually dreaded talking to ponies, there was something good to be had from some socializing.

"AHahahahhahahahahahaahahah" Stormy found her blunt nature a delight and slightly refreshing from the shy or polite mares he had met. He wondered what her and talon would do if they met. Maybe they would actually get along. He he looked at you with his nature twinkle that seem to glow in his eyes and a simile sitting on his face.

He asked with whimsical tone, "You felt like you would die?" He almost chuckled at that statement. He had for many years seen the look on someone's face when a pun rubbed them wrong. He had grown use to it and he knew he get s simile from a pun that was legit. Patience was stormy's strong suit and he also liked winning hoofs with hearts and occasionally diamonds.

Shala did not appear to be amused. "Your starting to make me wish i did....Is there something you need?"

She wasn't nessesarily looking for a way to get him to leave, but it wasn't exactly normal to her for a pony to just walk up to her after she.....okay, maybe it was. Socializing was not her best thing. If anything it was being irritated and aggravating.

"Something I need? hrmmm well I suppose I could use a nice jacket and a soda." He grinned because he was sure to stick in some fun sarcastic tone, not the kind of mean kinda, more like the clever one. Like when someone asks 'can I have this?' and then reply, 'can you?'

"Hahaha, I'm kidding. I just wanted to say hello to friend is all." He grinned.

Shala gave him a weird look. She was rather dry when it came to humor. Except that one pony she called Smarty McFly. He was so fun to poke at. The thought made her grin a little before returning to her blank gaze.

"I take it your one heck of a talker....A story writer or something if i overheard right from before?" She tempted more conversation from him. There wasn't much else going on anyhow.

"Why, yes I am a traveling storyteller. I am plan to see the whole world of Equestria and beyond then write books." Stormy was happy she seemed to be opening up to him, or at the very least was tolerating his goofiness. He even saw a little grin, perhaps something he said?

Shala nodded to that. It was a respectable goal. Certainly more exciting than what her life goals were for the moment. She just got herself a house and a job at this very bar, but she was not working today.

"Sounds colorful..." She said simply before going back to her drink.

Stromy was surprised to find she thought it exciting most told him it was silly or to find a mare or or a dragon or something instead of doing this. Stormy remembered that strange conversion with the one mare three towns before. Interesting but very strange, he now new a tad to much about dragons after that. "Colorful? What a interesting way to describe it. I like it." He sipped his water before he spoke again that twinkle was in his eye.

"So do you like working here? Is this your dream? or is this a mere steeping stone?" He asked

Shala refocused her eyes on Stormy. This was the first pony to ever ask what she planned to do with her life. In all honesty she never had thought of it lately, and it was already starting to depress her to think about it.

Letting her eyes droop a little, she frowned and took a large sip of her drink. "Its....a start."

"A start? I'm glad to see your doing better then I. I don't have a home or a plan, well I mean I sort of do but it doesn't really pay the bills." He grins before taking downing the rest of the water. He was itching for a Dr.Pony but he feared the bartender could only handle one pun today. "So Shalda, tell me. What are you planning to do? Own a bar or something? My friend Coyote owns a bar. quite successful."

Shala ignored the mistaken name. She was more bothered by his line of questioning. She moved into this town to get away from...something. And now she really did not know where to go.

"No plans...Just drifting." She kept her words short, not enjoying the discussion about her life. It didn't bring anything good to mind.

Stormy felt like he hit a nerve somewhere, he thought it best to turn away from such subjects. He thought for moment then grin spread over his face as he asked, "Shala, Would you like to hear a story?"

Shala sighed and took another big drink before she shrugged. "...Go ahead." She sounded almost annoyed but there was not much she could lose here other than time, and she had plenty of that today.

He cleared his throat as before he spoke. The words that came out his mouth seemed to be powerful almost al. "One there was this little filly foal, who heard the strangest sound coming from the woods. She would ask her mother what it was but her mother never would say anything but, "There isn't anything and don't you dare go in the forest looking for nothing." That was all that was said. But curiosity pulled at the little foal everyday. Everyday she didn't check it grew louder and was becoming a sweeter sound, almost music like. Till one one day she couldn't stand it! She had to know, against her mother's wishes she entered the forest, following the sound."

He spoke a tad softly barely noticeable, the bar around him was quiet as they listened , even that bartender seemed in a trance as he spoke on. "She followed till she found a lake where she saw a music box laying on the ground. The music that flowed from the box was clearly visible, laced with magic."

He somehow pulled out a box that seemed to look just how you pictured it in the story. Small and brown with a strange design craved in it. He opened it up and it started to play the little tune. "This little box made the foals eyes widen with glee, she went to touch it she heard a voice speak to her. 'do not touch if you do not need it foal.' The box would if you really needed it, it would clear your mind of distraction and make you feel calm. The foal grew a tad selfish in that moment.. She grabbed the box and took it home. She played it for hours, enjoying the calming magic"

He closed his eyes and shook his head, like he was trying to tell the foal that what she was doing was wrong. He looked back at you with a sparkle and a few twinkles in his eyes. They were a pure blue, ones that told you had had seen a lot. Everything from beautiful, horrible, sad, joyous and every emotion wrapped in neat presents that seem to fit just in his eyes alone.

"She slept great those first three nights but something started to happen. The noise started to turn sour and would annoy her. Till she couldn't handle even thinking about. The sound plagued her mind and she slowly started to lose it. She ran with the box back to the forest and called out over the lake that she was sorry and asked that whoever this was could take it back. The voice spoke to her, 'child, you chose to take the box. If you want to give it away. you must find someone who needs it."

Stormy paused for effect, he grinned as it seem to have worked. He went on to say, "Sense then the foal would be plagued by the noise till one day, she brought it to someone who needed it most."

He leaned back and smiled, a huge wonderful smile as he set the box down on the table. "Sooo did you like it?"

Shala found herself in a bit of a trance too. She wasn't big on stories but this had her somehow. Near the end, part of the story had her. A little foal cursed with something she could not get rid of....She could relate. It was more than just clocks and telling time itself, but it brought up memories reguardless.

Shala looked down and nodded. "It...was a nice story." She tried not to let on anymore than that. There was never a time for her to her own story.

Stormy was glad she had liked it. He had made it up on the spot and was worried it would be a flop. He always trusted this little voice in his head that told him to just go with it. The words flowed out. He was glad he had a talent for this. "Shala I am glad you liked it, Here." Slides the box over to you. "I want you to have this."

Shala snapped out of her trance as the music box was put in front of her. "What? Oh. No i couldn't" She was taken off guard a bit. Strangers giving her gifts? Then again, free stuff isn't so bad.

"I have a feeling that it could help you much more then I." He said it like side comment. He grinned as he stood up. "You have been a delight, but I fear I have to go wait in line for the free beds at the Stallionnation army. Bartender!"

"Please give this lovely mare as many drinks as she wants." He set down 40 Bits and he grinned at you. He merely walked out into the night.

Stormy wondered if she would take that the wrong way. "Ah well, can't edit what you say." He smiled as he sat in line, looking up at the starry sky. "Perhaps will meet again Shala."

Shala was rather taken back by not only the free music box but now the 40 bits worth of drinks. Usually ponies discouraged her drinking. Before she could recover he had left.

I....hate being in debt to another pony. She groveled to herself. Was she really going to do what she was about to.....Yes she was. Anypony that gave her a drink earned points.

With an aggrivated sigh she got up and chased after the pony. "Stormy!" She shouted to get him to turn around. With a somewhat irritated expression mixed with confused thanks she rolled her eyes. "...I have a spare bedroom..."

He turned with a grin as he sat in the line. The ponies in front of him looked over for a moment at hearing her yell but turned back to see she wasn't someone they knew. Stormy looked at you with grateful eyes as he climbs over the rope that sectioned the line. "You'll allow me to sleep at your place?"

Stormy when he first was traveling would go through the whole, 'oh no I don't want to be a bother or something or another' but after sleeping outside in the cold or the summer heat waves. He would gladly take a bed over the ground. Stormy wondered what caused her sudden generosity, but decided it must be they had become closer. "Led the way then." He grinned

Shala wasn't so sure why she was being...nice either. Confound these...crazy ponies. She rolled her eyes and did indeed lead the way. "You can stay provided you take back 35 bits. 5 bits is fine enough for a good drink..." She didnt say much more and kept a blank expression as she led him to her front door.

Stormy grinned, "So that that is what this is about hrmmm. Well I fear that I could possibly take those bits back." Lifts up his hoofs with a pained look. "You see, I can't pick them up. I have no way to. So I fear I'll have to decline, but you know what?"

"I think I have a idea how we can fix this. How about when I'm in the 'neigh'borhood I'll crash here..you know till the 40 bits are all used up." He grinned as he looked about your house to get feel how you lived.
