So a Repaircolt walks into a bar...

Icarus Walked into the bar, a Saddlebag full of tools and parts. "S-Somepony c-call...?" He asked, looking around the bar.

Shala was behind the counter, doing the customary thing and polishing a glass for hours with a washcloth she wasn't entirely sure where she had gotten from. It kept her mind off more stressful things like...the time.

She looked up at the arrival of the mechanic and pointed to the fridge behind the counter. "Its been acting up. Would be a shame if anything went bad in there." While she spoke mostly in a flat tone, Shala had a little concern for any of the more 'exotic' drinks being ruined. Oh how much she loved a good drink.

Icarus nodded, giving a friendly wave to Shala. "H-Hey! I-I'll w-work on the fridge... S-So, um..." He said, going around the counter, opening the bottom panel. "H-How a-are you? I-I h-haven't s-seen y-you s-since... W-Well..." He fell silent after that.

Shala didn't seem to hear him. She just kept on cleaning that one particular glass with that washcloth. It was some time before she replied.

"...I'm good enough." She still faced away from him, hiding herself from any eye to eye contact. A lot was going through her mind since that night.

Icarus nodded. "T-That's g-good..." He replied, Working on the fridge. "... I-If y-you e-ever w-want t-to t-talk... a-at a-all... J-Just... u-um... Y-You can s-see me... I-If you w-want..." He said, getting the fridge running again.

Shala did not responde for some time again. She did not want to talk much about what happen, but of all people, Icarus was the most neutral of everyone. As nonresponsive as she was, she took what he said to heart. Nothing about him really bothered her. It made her....happy to have him as a friend.

"...Thank you...Icarus." She said softly but in the most sincere voice she could muster.

Icarus smiled shyly and nodded. "I-It's n-no p-problem..." He said, smiling. "A-And t-this j-job's o-on t-the house... T-That is, i-if it's o-okay..." He added, blushing somewhat.

Shala shook her head. "No...You deserve your honest pay. And my boss would ask questions if the money was still here." She polished the glass more before thinking to maybe get another glass.

"Though, he did say you got drinks on the house...."

Icarus nodded, blushing. "R-Right..." he went over to the bar, sitting down. "W-Well... T-Take s-some as r-repayment f-for t-those h-hayfries I n-never g-got around t-to paying you b-back f-for... p-plus interest..." He stated, smiling.

Shala blushed at the mention of that small debt he owed her. "Icarus...You know you dont owe me anything..." She honestly smiled for a moment to him. Of all the ponies, the shy one had to be the one that she could feel unattached to this town.

Icarus smiled back with a blush, shaking his head. "D-Drove me n-nuts w-when I r-realized I d-didn't p-pay... P-Please, f-for me?" He asked... before thinking of another question. "A-And do you t-think you c-could d-drink w-with me? I-I'd c-cover your t-tab..."

Shala wanted to say no. It was hardly a week and she was tempted to break rules. But that face. That pony innocently looking to her just made her want to do anything but upset him.

"...I suppose i could have one or two and not get in trouble..." She could probably hold down that many drinks and not be affected on her job anyhow.

Icarus blinked. "N-Not if you c-could g-get in t-trouble, t-though... I-I couldn't f-forgive m-myself If I c-cost you y-your job...!" He said, nodding.

But Shala was already making herself a drink. "Doesn't matter. I want a drink with my friend. Now what do you want?" Her voice surprisingly hinted at being upbeat. There were plenty of troubles still in the back of her mind. Troubles that made it hard to believe she was actually feeling okay right now, but it was easy to forget them for the moment.

Icarus smiles softly. "J-Just w-wine... A-Anything h-heavier, a-and I'd p-pass out a-after one." He said, remembering his first night in ponyvillle. "... T-Thank you... F-For being m-my friend." He said, with a shy blush.

Shala was facing away at that moment going through wines. When she turned back there was a hint of a smile hidden away in her with her own little blush. "Think nothing of it...I think you might like this dessert wine. Its more sweet than usual."

Icarus smiled, nodding. "T-That s-sounds w-wonderful! T-Thank you..." He said, eyes bright.

Shala finished putting together her white russian, whatever a russian was. It was one of her more mellow drinks for her. There was not much else to say for the moment. She was just quiet, not minding the peace at all.

Icarus gave a smile to Shala, raising his glass in a toast before sipping it, smiling, just enjoying the time together.
