Moon Whistle trotted happily to the direction of the spa, where she was supposed to meet her new friend Arpeggio and get some light treatments. She looked at her hooves and noticed they could use a little miracle. She shook her mane, it might need another miracle.
Anyway, Moon Whistle was not too concerned about the things, after all, she would mainly spend time with Arpeggio and maybe get in to the latest gossip.

[Kind of a crappy opening, sorry.]

Arpeggio walked towards the spa, head hung a bit. He felt absolutely miserable. He hoped that spending time with Moon at the spa could help cheer him up; if that couldn't, he wasn't sure anything could.

"...Ungh... dammit... this is such a mess..."

Moon Whistle saw Arpeggio, and noticed him being a tad sad. She slowed down and heard him mutter something.
"Hey, Arpeggio!" she greeted him with a smile, athough she started to feel a little concerned about the Pegasus. "Um, you seem a little depressed... Is something wrong?" she asked him as she came closer to the stallion.

He looked at her, his eyes a little red. "...You have no idea, Moon... I'll talk about it during the session..." He gave her a hug. "Thanks for doing this with me. I really need this..."

He gave her a weak smile and walked into the spa.

The Unicorn was suprised to be hugged, since it happened so rarely. She gave an awkward pat on his shoulder and tried to think of some comforting words. "There, there..." she muttered to him and hoped she could shake his sadness off at some point. "Let's go in, shall we?" she said and then disentangled from his hug.
Opening the door, she entered them both to the world of spa goodness.

"Hello there" a female Pegasus greeted the two ponies from the reception desk. "How may I help you two?"

"Hey... a spa session for the two of us, please. Hooficure, aromatherapy, facial, the works." He smiled weakly at Moon. "Don't worry... this one's on me."

He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself a little. 'Stars above, I feel awful...'

"That'll be done!" said the Pegasus at the desk, smiling. "I'll be taking care of you two personally. My name is Makeover and I'll be happy to be of service." The Pegasus approached her customers and started to guide them to the room where the spa magic was done.

"This is very generous of you..." Moon Whistle mumbled to Arpeggio as she was guided onwards to the next room. "I mean, I must cost a lot, since there is quite a lot of work to be done."
Discreetly, she tried to rub her hooves to a better condition.

Arpeggio followed Makeover to the room, mumbling back to Moon. "It's alright, I don't mind... I can handle the cost. I'm grateful to you for doing this with me... I need someone to talk to right now."

The astronomer felt worried, since Arpeggio seemed really upset over something. She said nothing as the female Pegasus ushered them to the smaller room and made them to sit down and started to fix them a pleasant, relaxing bath for the feet. She did not ask anything while Makeover was present, as it seemed that things on Arpeggio's mind were somewhat of a private nature.

"There!" said Makeover, as she had the foot baths ready. "Now just step in and enjoy the soothing coolness at first." She beamed at her customers and then continued, "I'll need to get some lotions from the storage, so just relax for a while, when I'm away. We shall do claymasks next and then proceed to the hooficures."
She turned to look at Moon Whistle and pondered, if she could also wash the Unicorn's mane, as it clearly needed a proper washing and conditioner.
Then Makeover left the room.

Moon Whistle sighed as the female Pegasus left - she had not quite liked the look on her face, when the spa worker had eyed her mane. The Unicorn leaned closer to Arpeggio and said with a low voice; "So, what is in your mind?"

"...Remember my roommate, Thunderclap? ...Well..." He told her the whole story, about his attraction he'd gotten for Thunder, about the two dates Thunder'd had with a mare named Spring, his confession to Thunder, and the mess they were in right now.

"...I feel just awful... shouldn't have said anything..." A tear ran down Arpeggio's cheek. "Y'know the worst part? I get the feeling I'm going to be rejected... and I don't know if I could handle that..."

Moon Whistle gave out a whistle. "Sticky situation indeed." she said, and reached to give Arpeggio a comforting pat on the shoulder, although she was sure it would not help much. "Maybe Thunderclap is not just the right one for you, I mean... He can't be, if he does not respond to your feelings towards him."
Moon Whistle was at loss, she was not good at things like these.

"Ugh... I don't know. Where the Tartarus am I going to find another stallion or mare with his personality? Attractive though he may be physically, it's his personality I fell in love with..."

He groaned, burying his face into his forelegs.

"Poor Arpeggio..." Moon Whistle whispered and reached to rub the stallion's back, right between the wings. She tried to be as careful as possible, so she would not smear the ointments on his back.

At this point, Makeover returned to the room with several lotions and ingredients for facemasks. She noticed the situation, but as the spa code said, she was not to interfere with customers' problems unless asked to. Yet, she piped in, "Ah, darling, don't cry..." as she approached the male Pegasus with the ingredients of the mask. "It'll make your eyes poofy."

He gave a slightly-hollow laugh. "Right... that'd kinda defeat the purpose of my coming here... Thanks, Moon; I feel a little better..." He took a slightly-shuddering breath, laying back.

"I need to relax a little... all this stress... isn't good for me..."

Makeover nodded and raised Arpeggio's face from his chin a little. "Honey, I have no idea, why you're upset, but let's fix something extremely soothing for you, okay?" Then the spa pony proceeded to mix the ingredients - fresh eucalyptus, shea oil and several other things that relax the skin.
Then Makeover turned to Moon Whistle, "For you, dear, we mix something purifying."

Moon Whistle smiled as the spa worker started to fix the mask for Arpeggio. "I have no idea, what your mask consists of, Arpeggio, but it smells nice." she said and kpt on rubbing the stallion's back.

"Thank you very much, miss... I desperately need relaxation right now... relationship trouble. It feels... kinda like I'm living in a bucking soap opera right now..."

He smiled slightly. "It does... and thanks, Moon; the back rub is helping..."

Makeover nodded understandingly, then began to spread the facial mask on Arpeggio's face. "I understand it completely, sugar", she said as she spread the relaxing mask, "Nothing ever seems to go right, what it comes to relationships and stuff."
She proceeded to cover Arpeggio's face completely and then placed two thick slices of cucumber on his eyelids. "Now just lay back, sweetheart, and let my oils do some magic for ya, okay?"
Then the spa pony proceeded to Moon Whistle's mask, adding some purifying ingredients on a new bowl and mixing them up quickly. "Some clay and rosemary, for you, dearie." she said to the blue Unicorn.

Moon Whistle kept on rubbing the back, as Arpeggio said it helped a little. She sighed and said, "I'm sure Thunderclap is not hurting your feelings on purpose..." she said, "One just can't force feelings, right?"
She pondered for a moment about the name Arpeggio had dropped, the name of the mare Thunderclap had been on dates with. "I think I know Spring Shower", she then admitted, "Not very well, though."

"He said he's conflicted right now, but... I just don't know. I dunno if I can handle having my heart broken..."

He laid back, relaxing a little. "I've never met her... we're planning on meeting together soon. Not really looking forward to it..."

Moon Whistle gave a weak smile. "If it helps any, I have got my heart broken when I was younger - and I survived it", she said, shuddering at the awful memory of the past. She could not continue, due to a painful memory and besides, Makeover was already applying the claymask on her face and she needed to be still.

Arpeggio mused over what Moon had said, staying still due to the mask on his face. He had to admit, the blend of whatever Makeover had put on him was helping relax him a little.

Moon Whistle sighed and stayed still while the spa pony was applying rest of the mask, and then the cool slices of cucumber.

Makeover smiled to the duo, "I'll start with your hooves now". Then she took a soft file and took Arpeggio's other front hoof to her and started working on it.

"Mmm... thank you so much... I really needed this..." Arpeggio seemed to be a little happier now, though it was easy to tell he was still tense and stressed.

"Maybe you need a proper back massage?" Makeover suggested while working on Arpeggio's hooves. "It would help ease the tension and the nots within your muscles don't really treat you well. We do anything to get our clients shining!"

Moon Whistle remained silent for a while.

"It'll be the next task then." Makeover said, but eyed Moon Whistle's mane, which needed a proper washing. However, she did not say anything about it, it was not a spa pony's task to call the clients out. She had finished with Arpeggio's first hoof, she then proceeded to the next one. Doing the job a little quicker, she was soon ready with that one, as well. Soon she should ask another pony to help around.

Moon Whistle sighed under her purifying mask. "I don't really need a massage, thank you." she said, "But what is aromatherapy?"
