Metal went out for a little walk through the streets of Ponyville... but something was strange, all the other ponies smiled at him and talked behind his back
Did the 'news' really go through the entire town already? he thought

As soon as she saw that gray body, Carpe galloped wildly towards the stallion, beaming her usual giant grin. "Heeeeyyy, Metal Spark, buddy! I heard the news, it's all over town! Congrats!" She skidded to a stop in front of him and gave him a hearty, friendly pat on the back with her hoof, her voice carrying around the square and causing ponies to stare.

"Starflower needs my help now more than usual, being pregnant sure is hard"

"Shoot, I bet! Need any help with anything?" She softened her smile and cocked her head to one side, giving him what she hoped was a helpful look.

Carpe nodded excitedly and trotted in place a little, her hooves clicking on the ground. "I can do that! When's the baby due?"

"We were at the hospital and they said its a girl and the birth will be soon, Im so happy" he said with a big smile on his face

Starflower walked up to her husband. "You forgot your lunch. Again."

"Aww, well, that's great!" She squished his cheeks together with her hooves, giggling. "You're gonna be a daaaaddy~!"

At the sound of Starflower's voice she let go of the stallion's face and dropped back down onto all four hooves, grinning. "Howdy, Star! How's the bun in the oven?" Carpe laughed again, apparently being in a very good mood today.

"I bet! You shouldn't be on your feet, you should be resting!" She came up beside Star and hooked a hoof around her shoulders, giving her a friendly nuzzle.

I need to stop being babied... Starflower though, an annoyed look on her face. "I'm fine, dear."
