Cotton Candy Blues

Candle stared at the name written next to hers on the seating chart. All semester long, she had been seated by herself, in front of the room. However, because of recent ruckus, the seats had been changed, and now, someone was next to her, in the back of the room. Always, her partners would be on one side of two extremes. Ignored her very existence, or treat her like a nerdy slave.
She gulped as she began pulling her notebook and color coded notes out of her bag, hoping this person would at the very least, be a new friend, and not a foe.

Blown Speaker looked at his new partner for the class, not that he really cared, he normally did his work solo, even if we were suppose to do it with our partner. His previous partner never complained about this, for they were the same way, but he wast sure how his new partner would like that.

Sky Ride walked into class with her cousin giggling. "Did he really?" She asked. "Yeah, he did. Then he drank it. It was GROSS." Frozen said laughing. Sky went to the board and checked where she sat. In the 2nd row from from the back next to......... and she sorta frowned. She shrugged, slightly sad she couldn't sit next to her favorite cousin and walked to the back and placed her books down on the desk behind her cousin but didn't notice. She put her feet on the desk and took out her iPod and started playing dubstep music, waiting for the teacher.

Frozen groaned as he dragged his feet to the seat in the 2nd row right in the middle of the classroom and slammed his head on the desk. "Why this seat. Why meeeeeeeeeee" He said loudly then sat up and shrugged. "Maybe your partner won't be so bad." Frozen said to himself. He took out a pencil and some paper and started writing down challenges for his partner to see what he/she would be like.

As the bell rang Speaker noticed he wasn't sitting next to anybody, and the only seat was where he never liked to sit, the second row. He never liked sitting in the first 3 rows, it put him too close to the teacher. He looked to his left and saw his partner was some one he knew.

" Hey you're Frozen, right?" he said, blanking on his partners name.

"Yes, Yes I am! You're the guy going to the dance with my cousin. You forgot didn't you. I mean my name, not that I think I told you..." Frozen said tapping his pencil against his chin, then shrugged.

Sky looked up and saw Frozen sitting next to Speaker, 2 rows away. The teacher wasn't in the classroom so she ran up to the front grabbing Frozen's pencil and erasing her name and putting it behind Frozen. Switching her and that person behind Frozen. She dropped Frozen's pencil grabbed her books and sat behind him with a wide grin.

Frozen saw Sky take his pencil and drop it back and he held his hand where his pencil was confused. "What the-" He said turning around and seeing his cousin sitting there with a wide grin and a pair of headphones in. He gave a small smile then turned and continued on the paper.

With her pastel pink eyes wide in boredum Candle watched the others accomplish their shenanigans. Normally, she would intervene in their plot to altar the setting chart, but, at this point she decided not to seperate family. Venturing a chance, Candle stood calmly and approached the group in the second and 3rd rows. Smiling nervously, she tried not to turn the soft rosy color of her eyes and hair when she looked at Frozen, who, in her opinion, seemed rather cute, and had more than once already caught her attention that year. Brushing her flame like locks out of her eyes, she attempted to start in their conversation.
"How was each of your weekends? Do anything exciting in prep for the dance?"

(Sorry, its my fault, wont happen again.)

Speaker look behind him and saw Sky and a new pony had arrived behind him.

"Hey, Sky" he said, then turning to the newcomer " 'sup?"

"Hey Speaker." She replied and turned to the girl. 'Won't hurt to make a new friend.' Sky shrugged. "My weekend was wonderful! I did some skateboarding in the park and pulled off some major stunts. Our friend tried a stunt and fell off it was HALARIOUS. And no nothing exciting for the dance, really." Sky said.
Frozen smiled at the girl. "My names Frozen first of all, thats obviously Sky, and that's Speaker." Frozen said pointing to them as he said their names. "I went boarding with my cuz ,Sky, and nothing for the dance. I have a question though. My old date to the dance told me she was going with someone else so.... Will you go to the dance with me?" He said.
Sky grinned a wide grin. 'He's so good at that.' She thought leaning over to Speaker. "I bet you she's gonna say yes." She whispered to Speaker still eyeing the girl and her cousin.

Candle blushed faintly at the question, running a creme colored had through her pastel flame like hair.
"I.. uh, Sure?!" She laughed a little at the awkwardness going through her head till it registered in her head that he mentioned he had been going with someone else. "Who were you going with, if you don't mind me asking?" She smiled happily at him, her blush calming and eyes flickering up for only a moment as she noticed the teacher enter the classroom.

"How much I owe you Sky?"said think that he and Sky were wagering money.

"50. Oh and free piggy back rides till schools over." She said with a grin holding her hand out. Frozen smiled at her. "I was going with someone not nearly as beautiful as you." He said with a wink.

Candle became coated with the pink of her shirt, which faded as she looked to the ground, smiling sligjtly as she dragged a sandled shoe against the ground. Looking back up almost instantly, she smiled her signature smile at him as the teacher called for the students to o take their seats. "I'll give you my number after class, we can talk more then, if you want to, that is... " moving back to her seat in the back of the room, Candle pondered the possiblity of moving to the front with this trio of friends.

Speaker pulled the money out and handed it to Sky before class started, and then sat down.

"Supid bet..." he mumbled before the bell rang and class began.

Sky giggled and sat back turning off her music. She turned and threw a paper ball at Candle hitting her right on the forehead.// Frozen nodded to Candle with a smile.

Candle set the paper ball aside and nodded back to Frozen, and silently cheered as the teacher announced for the class to be working in pairs of their choosing for the day as they did an experiment or two. Smiling she motioned to Frozen, asking if he wanted to be her partner for the experiment, while the teacher continued to instruct the class on what to do for it.

Speaker was paying no attention as usual and was waiting for the work to arrive, this was how most of the time he was in class, until he heard the word partners, in which he started to motion towards Sky.

Frozen stood and sauntered over to Candle and sat next to her with a smile.// Sky sat next to Speaker and grabbed her work and gave Speaker his. "What is this.." She muttered looking at it.

Candle, being bright both in her social capabilities and in her smarts, twirled her favorite pen with ease. "How much of this stuff do you know?" She asked, scanning over the questions, mentally prepping an answer to each that she knew in case he didn't.

Frozen looked over the questions. "Not much of them. I'm not exactly smart..." He said rubbing the back of his head.

" Well Sky, it is just a experiment of Newtons third law (you guys dont mind if this is a physics class do you), all we have to do is preform diffrent tests, shown on the work sheet and then write the third law pairs." Speaker told Sky.

((Not at all, I rather enjoy Physics.)) Candle twirled her pen again. "Perhaps we should pair up with the other two, I'm not rather good at this either.. Mathematics, Biology, History, that I can handle, but this..."

"Uhhhhhh......" Sky said and looked up at Speaker. "I didn't understand that at all." Sky said.// "Alright." Frozen said standing and walking over to the other two. "We have come to join you in this work." Frozen said.

" Really none of yous remember newtons 3rd law...?" Speaker asked as he started to set up the first experiment.

"Partially.. Physics isn't really my thing, I prefer genetics." Candle said genuinely, watching him work.

"I am willing to learn." Sky said and twirled her pencil boredly. "What's the first experiment?" Frozen asked watching Speaker set up the experiment.
