High School Dance

Sky Ride walked into the auditorium with a wide grin. People were partying everywhere having a good time, lights flashed and the DJ playing awesome music. The DJ. Speaker. She ran through the crowd to the DJ station and climbed up. "Hey Speaker." She said with a smile.

"Hey Sky, like the playlist?" Speaker called out to Sky as he started to fade the music into the next song.

"It's awesome! Frozen hasn't come yet." Sky said then hopped into the Dj booth with him. She wore a silk dress that had faded color and boots. "This is gonna be awesome." She said leaning back on the DJ set.

"I knew you would like the music, the playlist is based off of the one of you MP3." Speaker said, as the next song started "You look beautiful."

Speaker, not really owning anything nice, was in a pair of jeans and a striped hoodie, with his headphones connected to the DJ table and placed around his neck.

"You know me to well. And you look awesome in those jeans and hoodie." She said and winked then leaned up and kissed him on the cheek and then leaned back grinning.

Speaker blushed a bit "Well, I don't really have much else clothes wise, so I'm glad you like it."

"Anything's fine by me." She said. Her hair was pulled back with 2 braids running across the top of her head tied in the back with the rest of her hair down and curled.

"Well, I switch half way through with another DJ, so wanna danve then?" Speaker asked as he started to fade the music again.

"Yeah!" She said grabbing his hand and dragging him to the dance floor just as the other DJ walked on.

"I must warn you, I dont dance as good as I DJ." Speaker said as he was being dragged to the dance floor.

"Nobody is an awesome dancer!" She giggled then started dancing to the song like a pro. Perfectly choreographed moves to go with the beat.

Speaker tried to follow Sky's moves but failed epicly, so he tried simplifying them with improved results, even though it was still terrible.

"Here let me help." She said with a grin. She grabbed his hands and started moving him into smooth dance moves. Her feet between his to move them the right way. She kept with the fast paced beat and grinned.

Speaker embraced the moment, and the pace of the music and let Sky lead. It was one of the best moments of his life, and one he was sure to remember. Then suddenly, without warning he bent in and kissed Sky right on the lips.

Sky stopped moving and ironically the music changed into a slow song. She kept moving then returned then returned the kiss. She pulled back and wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes smiling. 'I never want this to end." She thought. She looked up at him. "You should know how to dance to this." She said and kissed him on the lips and pulled back smiling.

"Yes I do," he said as he started to lead, with Sky's head on his shoulder. The moment seemed so quick yet also seemed to last forever, but once the song was over the DJ announced that the dance was over, though Speaker didn't want it to be.

Sky heard the DJ announcing the Dance was over. She stayed there though not wanting to let go of the moment. She let go seeing mostly everyone gone and she yawned. She stood with Speaker and kissed him again then checked her phone as she walked over to one of the tables and she gave a small smile.

Frozen: Couldn't make it. Candle and I watched movies though.


Frozen: What happened?   


Sky looked up from her phone and put her bag on. She heard Speakers phone vibrate from a text and waited at the door for Speaker.

Speaker felt his phone vibrate and checked his texts.

Inked Paper: You done yet?

Blown Speaker: Sadly yes.

Inked Paper: good, cause it's boring here.

Blown Speaker: Well you will have to wait a little longer.

Inked Paper: Fine...

"You comin'?" Sky said trying to hide the sadness in her voice. She turned and walked out the door and her phone buzzed.

Frozen: I want to yell at him. HE CAN'T JUST KISS YOU! I HAVE TO SAY HE CAN! >:T

Frozen: WHAT! HOLD THE PHONE. IM GOING TO YELL AT HIM THROUGH A TEXT!
(Frozen has left the chat)

Sky turns to Speaker. "Frozen's sorta gunna text you...." She said with a sheepish grin.

"Wait, how did he get my number..." Speaker asked as he phone vibrated.

"Good question... I don't know... Slips my mind." She said walking over to him and hugging him from his side. "Now c'mon we don't wanna be locked in school. It's not cool." She said then giggled at the rhyme. "You can drive me home." She said still holding him.

"Okay," said as he gave Sky a quick peck on the cheek. Then he took her hand and brought him to his motorcycle. "You probably want a helmet don't you?"

"Nope, I trust you." She said climbing on the back. "Do you want me to wear one?" She said.

"Only if you want to," he said as he got on the front.

"Nope, I prefer the wind in my hair. LETS RIDE!" She said and laughed.
