A new Beginning

Solaris trotted slowly out of Ponyville train station and gave the place a quick look around. She ran a hoof through her mane, a habit she developed when she is embarassed or nervous, the latter being the case. She began at a slow pace through town, shivering slightly. Her wings were tucked in as usual, she had never flown in her life and wanted a flying teacher as well.

I should see if I could find a house, but to get a house I need bits... Myabe I can get a job? No... im too useless for that... Solaris battled with her brain and shivered again...

Burn flew by the train station stoping when he noticed a pegasus getting off the train. Stoping mid flight he turned and flew over hoping for a new friend to fly with sometime. Making a quick stop in front of the mare he noticed how worried she looked. " You look lost? Need a tour?" Then Burn realized somthing " How rude of me! Im Burning Dunk but, you can call me Burn!" He smiled apolojeticly.

Solaris jumped slightly when a new face abruptly stopped in front of her.

"You look lost? Need a tour?" Solaris could barely get a word of reply in before he said, " How rude of me! I'm Burning Dunk but, you can call me Burn!" he had said.

She ran her hoof through her mane again before replying. " My name I-is S-solaris." she replyed shakily, hoping not to seem like a scaredy filly. She moved her tail over her blank flank, afraid he would make fun of her for it.

" My name I-is S-solaris."

Burn could tell he had come on too strong. "I'm so sorry. I didn't meen to scare you. I just thought you looked lost." He apologised smiling at the mare and forgeting flight training for now.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't meen to scare you. I just thought you looked lost." Solaris smiled back, Burn's own smile gave her confidence. " Oh no, it's quite alright, your the only pony to actually approach me, and I thank you for that. I'm not exactly lost, but would you mind giving me a tour? One that doesn't involve... f-flight?" Solaris said the last part absent-mindedly. Realizing what she said, she hid behind her mane. She had just unintentionally hinted her most deepest darkest secret.

" I-I can't fly!" she thought.

" Oh no, it's quite alright, your the only pony to actually approach me, and I thank you for that. I'm not exactly lost, but would you mind giving me a tour? One that doesn't involve... f-flight?"

"Sure! Thats no problem!" Burn agreed adding, "I can hoof it." Streching his legs and puting his wings at his sides he smiled again. She must not like heights.

"Sure! Thats no problem!" Solaris smiled. "I can hoof it" she giggled, and nuzzled him briefly, her eyes sparkling. " Then... lets g-go I guess..." He... he is so kind... going out of his way to help me... hope he has room in his house for two...

" Then... lets g-go I guess..."

Burn turned and started walking."By the way you don't need to be so worried. I don't bite."He smiled at her.

"By the way you don't need to be so worried. I don't bite." Solaris giggled again, walking beside him and she smiled. "I know... i'm just a nervous type of pony. I don't mean to be..." she said, looking around as they socialized. And I don't have a special talent...

"I know... i'm just a nervous type of pony. I don't mean to be..."

"That's ok!"He replied wondering what to show Solaris first.Mabey Sugarcube Corner? Or mabey the library is more her thing...? Burn didn't know what her skill or passion was so he desided to just work his way through the town."Just let me know if you want to stop somewhere." He smiled.

"That's ok!" Solaris smiled at his reassurance. "Just let me know if you want to stop somewhere."
"Ok,but I don't think I'll stop anywhere. I need to look into finding a place to stay... u-unless you don't mind me staying w-with you..." Solaris thought suddenly, her face heating up in a crimson blush. That would be nice...



(Will there be any space for romance in this thread? Because the more I think about it, the more these 2 would make a perfect couple. Submissive and Dominant? Its perfect. But only if your ok with it.)

Burn thought a minute. This was nice. He was usually in a huge rush and had forgoten how to slow down. "That sounds great." Burn replied enjoying himself.

((Burn doesn't like romance but mabey Solaris could be the pony who makes him change his mind?))

"That sounds great"Solaris blushed a deeper shade of red. Then trotted forward until she came to a big shop shaped like a cupcake. So innocent... and fun. "What's this place? It looks so playful."

Burn turned to see what he was looking at. "Oh! Thats Sugarcube Corner. You hungry? I have a few extra bits." Burn offered.

"Oh thats Sugarcube Corner. You hungry? I have a few extra bits." Solaris smiled. Her stomach rumbled at the thought of food, and she couldn't help the crimson blush that followed suit. " I guess my tummy answered for me... thank you." she said, a small giggle coming out.

" I guess my tummy answered for me... thank you."

Burn smiled, holding the door for Solaris. [color=orange]"You first mlady."[/orange]

"You first mlady" Solaris blushed again, walking inside she replied, " Such a gentlecolt." And so handsome...

" Such a gentlecolt."

"I try." Burn laughed playfully. "So what shall we order?" He proceeded to ask.

"I try." Solaris chuckled. "So what shall we order?"

Solaris put a hoof up to her chin in thought, and looked at all the confections on the counter and display cases. Feeling in the mood for ice cream, she decided. "Want to share a milkshake? You can pick the flavor..." she asked.

Burn thought for a minute. Normaly he would've left at the mention of such a notion. But somthing about this mare... "Ok." He replied trying to mask his own confusion. He walked up to the counter and ordered the milkshake. As he took it back to the booth he thought, Am I going crazy?

"Ok." Solaris noticed that Burn sounded unsure, if not completely honest about.

"You ok? We don't have to if you don't want to, its just a milkshake, I can do without if bothers you." she offered, sticking his straw in the shake, but not hers yet. Maybe I struck a nerve... I just thought it would be nice to share...

"No it's fine." Burn replied still lost in thought. He wasn't sure what he was feeling but he desided to figure it out later. Setting the notion aside he put Solaris' straw in the milkshake. "So what brought you to Ponyville?"

No it's fine." Solaris was relieved. Phew...

"So what brought you to Ponyville?" Solaris had to think hard about how to answer this question, unless she wanted to reveal her secret about being unable to fly.

"Too much pressure.. I guess, Cloudsdale is filled with all types of mean colts who kept messing with me, and my parents decided that I should learn to become more independent. What surprised me was the fact that they forgot to give me any bits to start out!" Solaris said, hoping he would buy her alibi. Please... don't be suspicious...

Burn could tell she was hiding somthing by her voice. He didn't want to emberass her so he didn't call her out. "Thats no good." Burn looked apologeticly. "Well don't worry. I'm sure it'll all work out." He smiled at her.

"Thats no good." "Well don't worry.I'm sure it'll all work out."

Solaris nodded and smiled. "Yeah, I know it will." she said.
