The first step towards a new future

Logik looked tentatively out through the doors of the train and onto the platform ahead, but before there was time to look at anything closely enough, he was pushed forward by a barrage of arriving ponies, heading towards the family members and friends that awaited them.

Logik moved forward with the crowd, squishing past what felt like hundreds of ponies, saying about a billion apologies a minute before finally getting away from the worst of the crowd, somewhat away from the train. He shook his head slightly to clear the headache that the loud gathering had caused, and then looked up and around the train station, taking in the view. So I've finally arrived... He looked past the boundaries of the station, resting his gaze on the small town of Ponyville, which went on for a bit before ending at the edge of a dark and sinister-looking forest. So this is Ponyville.

He sighed, deciding to take a short break before moving on. It's been a long train ride, and I could use a break before wandering about some more... He looked around the train station, until he found a bench near one of the tourist map stands. He walked over to it and took a seat, placing his saddlebags underneath the bench and rolling his head back, closing his eyes as he wondered what to do first in his new home.

Primary rushed past the hundreds of ponies who had just arrived. Prime tried to stay out of every pony's way, but kept getting pushed around. She finally made it out of the initial crowd and towards the exit. As she cantered to the exit, she accidentally tripped over a grey unicorn's hooves. She fell to the ground, her face smashing against the pavement. Luckily, her crystalline coat broke her fall. She struggled to get up and scrambled to collect her paint supplies that had flown everywhere when she fell.
"I am s-so s-sorry, I d-didn't see you there." She stuttered as she collected her things.

Logik jolted back upright when he felt something hit his hooves. For a moment he could see a Crystal Pony mare in front of him before the pony fell over and landed on the ground with a loud thud. The mare quickly got halfway up and began collecting her art supplies, which she had seemingly dropped when she had fallen.

"I am s-so s-sorry, I d-didn't see you there."

Logik used his magic to help the mare gather her supplies, responding to her comment as he did so. "Um...no, it's...fine. A-are you ok?"

"Yeh, I'm f-fine. Thanks." Prime said after the unicorn used his magic to pick up her supplies. She quickly replaced her paint in her saddlebag and dusted herself off. "Um, I'm Primary, but, uh, just c-call me Prime." she said, trying to be polite. She always had to remind herself to try and be more social and nice, well, that was what her therapist kept saying anyways.....

"Yeh, I'm f-fine. Thanks." Logik watched the mare as she got up and dusted herself off. "Um, I'm Primary, but, uh, just c-call me Prime."

Logik nodded once slowly, and responded by saying his own name. "My name...my name is...Logik. It's...nice to meet you."

"Likewise." Prime replied, trying to put on a smile that probably looked more like a grimace. "Uh....watcha doin in Ponyville...." she faltered a bit. She wasn't sure if she should keep this conversation going or not, this pony seemed a bit anti-social too.

"Likewise. Uh....watcha doin' in Ponyville...?"

Logik paused a second before answering the question, thinking about his response. "I'm here for...peace... Peace and...solitude, I suppose. I...came from Canterlot to...get away from some...unwanted individuals. And you?"

"Well.....basically the s-same thing. Only I like to p-paint too. The s-scenery here is w-wonderful. I v-visit ever so often to g-get away from th-the Crystal Empire." Prime muttered. "You d-don't really l-like socializing much do you?"

Logik could barely make out the words that the mare spoke. "I see. Well...um...I am...not against it... I prefer not to...speak too often though..."

"M-me neither. I'm not too big on talking, c-cause of my stutter. Sorry I-if you can't understand me....." She trailed off. She knew she was probably annoying this pony. "S-sorry to bother you."

Logik nodded. "I...see... I have that too...sometimes." The Unicorn nodded towards the direction of Ponyville's main area. "So, um...where are you...headed?"

"Ummm....my h-house in the ponyville housing. I k-keep one for w-when I visit." Prime replied, her stutter fading a bit as the two ponies talked. "W-where are you headed? Or, a b-better question, where a-are you from?" Prime asked quietly, almost whispering.

Logik nodded once again. So this mare had visited the town before, unlike him. "Very well. I am from...Canterlot, and...I'm...not really sure where I'm headed..."

"Oh. Well, w-would you like me to I'm show you around?" Prime said with a half-hearted smile. Wondering if she could actually show some pony around without doing something embarrassing.

"Oh. Well, w-would you like me to show you around?"

Logik took a moment to think about the offer. He definitely didn't know much about the geography of this town, so a guide could prove to be quite helpful. "I don't see why not...well...as long as you don't mind..."

"No...of course I don't m-mind. I d-don't have anything to do. Just......let me drop my stuff off at my home and I'll show you around." Prime said. She really wouldn't mind showing Logik around. "It's.......uh......this way."

"Very well." Logik stood up from his bench, picking up and putting on his saddlebags once again as he did so. He adjusted them to a comfortable position and then spoke. "Lead the way."

Prime nodded and started headin toward the exit. She stepped off the train station and onto Ponyville land. She stopped for a second and breathed in the warm air. She continue waking towards the housing, checking ever so often to see if Logik was still behind her. "So, uh, where will you be staying while you're here?" She asked, glad to get through one sentence without stuttering

Logik followed the mare as she lead him towards the train station exit and then on to the main area of Ponyville. Looking around, the Unicorn could see that those living here seemed to be more simplistic in nature than the inhabitants of some other Equestrian cities, especially Canterlot. Advanced electrical and magical devices were seldom found, the majority of the houses were mainly made of wood, glass and hay with no specific architectural design in mind, and ponies were walking around either doing their jobs with a happy attitude or socializing with seemingly anypony they met. This seems like a nice place of residence. I don't believe I'll regret my decision.

"So, uh, where will you be staying while you're here?"

Logik shrugged. "I am not exactly sure. I will most likely attempt to either buy or rent at least a temporary home, though I cannot say specifically what I am going to do in terms of residence."

"oh." Prime felt silly for asking. She walked quickly through the plaza and towards the housing. She came up to her house, a light green one with a light blue roof. She carefully opened the door and waved for Logik to follow her inside. She strolled to her room and dropped her suitcase on the bed and walked back out. The house wasn't very messy.
"So, this is my house. To the Town Square!" she said, pointing out the door.

"Oh."

Logik followed Prime as she lead him through the streets of Ponyville, observing the quaint little town as he walked. He liked it more every passing moment, and within a few minutes he had about a hundred reasons why he thought he would like this town. Soon enough, the two ponies neared a specific house, this one not too differentiated from the houses around it, but still unique in it's own way. The mare went inside and waved for Logik to follow, and the Unicorn came inside as well. He didn't go too far past the front door though, as it didn't feel right for him to explore the house of somepony he had only just met. He observed the house from where he was, though.

"So, this is my house. To the Town Square!"

Logik nodded. "Very well." Being closer to the door, Logik exited the house first, and waited for Prime to follow him out. "And which way might that be?"

"This way." Prime replied, pointing to the left. She began trotting towards the town, thinking about the shops and where she should show Logik first. She settled on the library, he seemed like a book guy............. She soon entered the Town Square and turned to wait for Logik. She looked around and found the library.
"Do ya like books?"

"This way."

The mare pointed in the direction of Ponyville's town square and then headed off in the same direction, Logik following close behind. He was able to discern some different properties of Ponyville as they got closer to the center of town, and soon enough the two arrived at their destination. Prime turned to face Logik and spoke.

"Do ya like books?"

"It depends on the book, but in general yes. Why?"

"Well, the library's pretty cool, if ya wanna check it out." Prime replied quickly, pointing at the tree-building. The Library was built into a tree. It was really cool. Prime loved hanging out there when she wasn't painting in the woods.

"I will be sure to do that whenever I am able to."

Logik looked in the direction that Prime was pointed, and rested his gaze on...a...tree...thing. He looked at the strange building, blinking once. Was that really a library? He had never seen nor heard of anything even remotely relating such a construction. If he were to guess, he would say that magic was used to create it, but even in that case he couldn't think of how it could have been done.

"That...is strange... Do you know how the creators of that library...built...it?"
