Crayola-box orange hahaCutie Mark:
Yellow outline of an azalea flowerAge:
Adult (21 in maturity)Personality:
Mango Azalea is a sweet, friendly, all-around probably too optimistic kind of mare. Her natural social skills and attentive nature make her a great conversationalist and businesswoman. Nice as she is, however, Mango tends to be a bit absent-minded. She can be slow to understand academic concepts and she’s been found to trail off mid-sentence, or accidentally stop paying attention to a conversation in which she is required to listen.
Mango is great with the arts, having a natural eye for color and a creative mindset. Innocent yet flirtatious, outgoing yet a bit self-conscious, Mango responds well to those who treat her the way she treats them--although she can be a bit shy to put her hoof down.
((sorry boys, she likes mares, but better luck next time <3 <3 ))Likes:
Other ponies, receiving and sending mail :)), flowers, pineapple, the beachDislikes:
Winter, expired milk, bad mane days yikesHistory:
Mango Azalea was born and raised near the ocean, in sunny Downtown Mareami. She never got tired of the relaxing, sleepily warm weather and sound of the waves, and the environment was perfect for her to realize her talent for botany. She was gifted a cutie mark symbolizing this.
When she was a teenager, she lost everything she knew to a tropical hurricane that seriously affected those close to the shore like her family. Her father lost, her possessions gone, her neighborhood destroyed; Mango and her mother had to start over in a new town with whatever little they had left.
Mango quickly grew to like Ponyville, where she found new friends and a community that welcomed her almost immediately after she arrived. Her mother bought a small shop with two bedrooms upstairs, and ran a small candy shop downstairs. After her mother had retired, Mango Azalea took over the shop and turned it into a humble flower shop. This is where she is today.Sample RP Segment:
Dropping her basket, Mango took a sharp intake of breath as she felt someone slip something into her saddlebag and run off in the opposite direction. Startled and frightened, she spun in a circle looking for the culprit, and came face to face with a guard pony.“Hah!”
the guard said as he quickly shackled her hooves. “Not so fast now, are you??”“Wh-”
Mango’s ears were pinned back and her heart was racing as she looked back at her saddlebags, which now carried a small dagger on the left side. “What’s going on--a pony just--they went that way, I didn’t do anything!!”
She tried to free her hooves from the shackles, nervously pulling her hooves up and down, attempting to slip them off. “Please, I’m not lying!!”
her voice cracked in fear.
The guard narrowed his eyes at her. If this was an alibi, it was a pretty good one--Mango was terrified out of her wits and looked as if she was about to cry.
He hesitated, examining her face, which was now pale in terror. “Wait, what happened? Calm down,”
he said slowly, feeling the damage he had done. Did she really look like the kind of mare that would rob a grocery store? She had a basket of flowers spilled at her feet and pink hair.“Somepp,,”
she choked back a sob and tried again. “Somepony just dropped this in my bag and ran away, I didn’t,, I’m just tryingtogethome,”
she rushed out before bursting into tears.
The guard took a step back, now aware that he had created a bigger mess than he intended. “Great, now you’ve done it,”
his partner moaned from behind him.
Ashamed, he tried to fix the situation. “Calm down, I’m sorry. Which way did they go?”
She pointed down the street, inhaling shakily. The guardpony nodded, instructing his partner to escort her home before apologizing profusely and running off after the criminal.
