Mask, Cape, and JUSTICE!

(Welcome to this little experience. The idea I had in mind here is... ponies all over are taking up the mask and cape and becoming heroes... or villains. This AU is supposed to be like the Golden and Silver Age of Comic Books. So, while things can get quite grim and dark at times, for the most part, this is intended to be a more lighthearted AU. You'll need to make a specific App for this AU regarding your character, including, among other things, your pony's name, superhero/villain name, secret identity (name if applicable or job), outfit (be as detailed as possible), power, and power origin; don't forget to give them a bit of backstory for this and include their alignment. I'd prefer to use the nine-square chart, the Lawful-Neutral-Chaotic/Good-Neutral-Evil chart. Allow me to demonstrate.)

Name: Arpeggio
Superhero Name: Semiquaver (The european name for eight notes)
Secret Identity: Name is the same, Arpeggio; he works as a singer and composer.
Outfit: Wears a 'Masquerade' style mask that's Red and Black with Gold trimming (not too different in style from this mask, only without a mouth covering. Mask, Cape, and JUSTICE! Venetiangoldmask

Has a look not dissimilar of a Venetian Noble; like this; the jacket is that darker red with the pewtery-gold 'shirt' underneath, the pants sharing a blend of the red and pewtery-gold with dark black eight notes on the flank where the cutie mark would be. There is no head covering, so his mane stays in a similar style when he's not in costume; the only difference is that it looks just a bit more 'wild and untamed' out of costume. The outfit is quite durable, made and strengthened with magic.
Power: Sound manipulation.
Power Origin/history: Arpeggio was a normal Cloudsdale resident, a little awkwardly proportioned, though he grew out; he had an amazing aptitude for music and a strong sense of justice, which tended to work pretty well... except when he'd get in over his head and get pummeled. Well, one day, in Manehattan, Arpeggio was witness to an attempted armed robbery; there were several unicorns there, with dangerous spells, keeping the police at bay. Arpeggio used his size to stun them long enough to slam two of the crooks' heads together... unfortunately, the resulting magical explosion gravely injured Arpeggio. He did recover, though there was a unique side-effect. His mind and voice were affected by the magic, which lead to the younger Pegasus learning a means of controlling it. At first, he could only manipulate the sound waves his voice created, but over time and with practice (though he's still learning), he expanded his ability to include a far greater variety of sound wave sources. Arpeggio made a resolution... he'd help ponies live happier, safer lives with the power he'd been blessed with. Bringing evil criminals to Justice when the authorities couldn't.)
Alignment: Heroic Neutral. He wants to see justice

As the sun began to set, the well-clad Pegasus smirked a little bit. "This is indeed one of the cities that never sleep... Hmhmhm~" He took off, flying over the streets, keeping his eyes open for crime. "Some days, I just love this job..." Another night, another patrol for Semiquaver, the noble and somewhat-flirty superheroic alter-ego of the rather mild-mannered singer and composer, Arpeggio.

Power Origin/history: Mild-Mannered Iccy Gear Was an inventor, and still is. With the surge of Superheroes, he decided to become one himself, Equiping himself with Various Inventions and Technology.
Alignment: Neutral Good - He just wants to save Everyone he Can.

Iccy, As the Steam Gear, Was watching over Ponyville, Goggles scanning over the Different Streets, and the few remaining Ponies wandering about. With another look, he spread the mechanical wings with a whirr, and took to the skies, trailing a bit of steam.

Likes: He likes jumping from high distances, and when he starts getting close to the ground, he grabs on to something, and most of the time hes really acrobatic with the stuff around, so much so that he can get around town easily.

Power: Telepathic, able to plant thoughts in other ponies minds, but not able to do such to other heroes due to his alignment. He spares anypony who begs for forgiveness or mercy, but he has often been stabbed in the back because of this. Either way, he can talk to people through their minds, but he cannot control them at all.

Power Origin/history: Nopony knows how he gets by, or even how he talks. But his past has been a mystery for many years, but all everypony knows is this: he is a friend of the ponies and hes a mute.

Alignment: Completely Heroic

Bioblue looked down from a tall tower that towered over Manehattan, allowing him a very serene view of the city. He stood strong, then looked down. There were things to grab near the bottom, a rope with some clothes attached to it. Momentum wouldn't allow him to grab it, as it would break the thing the rope was attached to. He looked around for something, and found nothing that would be of use. He had to get really creative with this, without dying. He looked at the ground for a moment, and then he had an idea. If he used his unicorn magic to slow down his fall, he should be able to grab the rope and possibly swing to another area if theres another rope nearby. If there isn't, then hes going to have to climb the rooftops.

He jumped off the tower, the momentum causing him to rocket towards the ground. He used his unicorn magic to slow himself down, and grabbed a hold of the rope holding the clothes. The clothes tumbled down, into the baskets below. Surprisingly there was a lot of baskets. He went forward, and backwards on the rope, using the momentum to go up. The rope was close to the roof, and there was no other rope in sight, so hes going to have to travel and gallop on the rooftops. He used every bit of momentum he could use and he let go, his body heading towards the ground but the ledge was very near. He managed to put his two hoofs on top of the ledge, and climbed up on the roof. He did a good job. He galloped off the roof onto another roof, and he was going to save the day and stop the villain.

Arpeggio finished his patrol; nothing terribly special, just one petty theft attempt stopped, the mare had been very grateful for his saving her.

He flew to a secluded area near his apartment building, making sure no one had seen him go there, then changed out of his costume, going up to his apartment. The brown pegasus was thankful that he'd saved most of the money he earned touring before he took up the cape and focused more on his compositions; it made it more possible for him to have his penthouse apartment. It was quite spacious and comfortable; near the top of the building.

There was a decently-sized and quite cozy living room with a record player, coffee table, and comfortable furniture, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a smaller kitchen, and a 'lounge' room as Arpeggio called it; there was a piano and keyboard there, as well as a few comfortable chairs, a sofa, and a bookshelf. It did cost a bit in rent, but Arpeggio didn't mind. He usually didn't have any trouble making ends meet; commissions were never in short supply for him. He went and showered, getting cleaned up, then resting in the living room, enjoying a glass of wine.

As Icarus, Iccy boarded the Train toward Manehattan, Carefully taking his own gear with him, as he went to his new job. All the more to Protect a new City, with All new Citizens.

Arpeggio finished his glass of wine, feeling a little sluggish. He went to bed, yawning; as he did so, he thought to himself, 'I really should get a roommate... it'll definitely help with rent. He yawned again, laying down on his comfy bed, falling asleep almost the instant his head hit the pillow. He had a few commissions to work on tomorrow.

Soon, Iccy had arrived at Manehattan, staring up at the tall buildings. He smiled, heading over to the Hotel he was staying at for the moment.

As the next day arose, Arpeggio awoke, brushing his teeth and getting breakfast. He didn't have any patrol planned until later in the afternoon, so he got right to work writing a commissioned piece. Had to pay the bills, after all.

'Then, I might put an ad in the paper for a roommate or something.'

Bioblue looked down yet again, seeing a mare in trouble along with three stallions approaching her in a particularly dark alley. He seen them wielding pipes and wrenches, and it seems as if they were going to hurt her pretty bad. He was on top of a building, and the closest stallion was looking as if he was about to hurt. Bio jumped, and landed on a stallion, knocking him out for most of the duration of the fight. As the stallions turned, he screamed in his mental powers. It reached out to them, and they jumped at what they had heard. "Right behind you!" It sounded as if there was three voices behind his, and the stallions swung their wrench and pipe behind them, hitting nothing but air. They were surprised, but when they looked in front of them, a hoof hit their faces, causing one to grip his face and the other to simply swing at him.

One hit, and he dodged the next one. These stallions were good hitters. Bioblue lifted his hoof and put a barrier around it to have a better impact. This spell he made by himself, to augment his fighting capabilities in melee combat. Bioblue kept hitting them back once they hit him, and after a while of trading hits, they finally collapsed on the ground. He looked back at the mare and smiled, although it wasn't seen through his mask. ""I am sorry for this. Please go." He 'said', using his abilities to communicate to the mare. This voice echoing through her mind was more compassionate and instead of it sounding like three voices, it sounded as if it was one. She seemed surprised, but she had heard of his powers. She nodded in gratitude. Bioblue disappeared before she could speak, however. He was back on the roofs of the houses again, and he looked for more evil-doers.

Iccy headed to the office, working on some sidejobs until his workstation was open, easily doing the menial work. with another tightened gear, Iccy wondered how he was gonna get a home to stay at.

Arpeggio spent a few hours after lunch working on his commission piece for the Manehattan Philharmonic Orchestra, then typed up the advertisement for the paper. "There we are. I'll send that in and get a little word out; we'll see if there are any takers for a roommate." He sent it to the newspaper, then left his apartment building, putting on his costume in a secluded place and flying over the streets of Manehattan, eyes and ears alert for crimes in progress.

Bio looked up, seeing Semiquaver. Its good to have heroes in Manehattan as there's much crime to be fought here. He galloped across the roofs, attempting to follow him. Two heroes as friends may make a team. He jumped rooftop after rooftop, but halted when there was a brick building in front of him that towered over him. He couldn't pass this. He reached out with his mind, and managed to talk to Quaver, if only for a moment.

Semiquaver stopped in his tracks. That voice didn't sound familiar, nor did it sound like it came from anywhere near where he could tell using his power.

"U-Um... depends on what you are." He landed atop a building nearby, feeling rather silly for talking to thin air.

From what he had heard just a few seconds ago, perhaps Semiquaver had landed on the building that was towering over him. He couldn't climb it, but he could still reach out to Semiquavers mind. Its not like he could read it, he could only talk to him.

"Unicorn. Im a friend, if your a hero. From what i heard of your exploits, you are a hero."

Bio was near a corner, and couldn't be seen at first glance. He moved his way more out in the open, and he lifted his hoof, waving it to get his attention.

Semiquaver did indeed see the unicorn's waving, then flew down towards him, landing. "Well, a pleasure to meet another hero around Manehattan. I'm Semiquaver. Who might you be?" He offered a hoof.

Bioblue shook the offered hoof, and when he was asked of who he might be, he looked at Semiquaver. Unfortunately, i am mute. Luckily i have this power. Sorry for invading your mind, by the way.

"This will keep me out of the streets..." Iccy said to himself, picking up a newspaper. Nice, affordable, and pretty spacious. He could probably stow his inventions in a closet, it was so big. "I just hope it's not taken by the time I get there..." If he flew, He could be there in a snap, but it'd blow his cover.

"Much though I'd love to stay and chat, duty calls. See you around?" He began flying off towards another district of Manehattan.

Iccy was at the Apartment, ready to knock. He paused, Double-checking the address, before knocking. "Hello? I'm here about the Apartment" He called out, humming.

Arpeggio had been home for about an hour or so; he opened the door to his apartment. "Hey. I'm Arpeggio; pleased to meet you. I can show you around, if you want; you're the first to ask about that."
