Arrival

Having just arrived in Ponyville, Dylgo found herself wandering around town. she hadn't realized how little she had thought this through until now. she didn't even have a place to stay for the night. it was still early in the day, however, so she wasn't worried about that yet.

As she wandered, she took in the sights. this was such a different place from Manehattan. There are a lot more trees and it's so much more open. She also noticed that the other ponies seemed a little nicer as well. She should fit in well here.

Now at the park, Dylgo decides to put her bags down if only for a second. she felt the need to stretch her wings. Her wings extended, she sits on a nearby bench next to her bags to take in the scenery.

[a quick intro if anything.]

as Dylgo sat, her mind had wandered into how her parents were doing now that she has left. The unicorn snapped her out of it.

"Hi, I'm Dylgo. Nice to meet you too." She said, smiling at Steam Heart.

"oh, do you know if there's an inn or somewhere I could stay the night? I'm afraid I didn't think this trip over."

She felt a little embarrassed admitting her mistake, but she smiled none the less.

"yeah, the Tavern doesn't seem like a safe place at night."

As she thought, she put her hoof up to her chin and folded her wings in.

"That would be great! If you wouldn't mind that is. It will probably only be a couple days until I find a more permanent place."

She loved it here already. In Manehattan they would point you towards a tavern and be on their way. But here, the ponies are so much nicer.

"Thank you so much." She said as she smiled back. Dylgo got back up and put her saddle bag back on and followed the nice unicorn.

"I'm from Manehattan. My parents are still there actually. what about you? are you from around here?"

This time she made sure she could extend her wings with her bags on. having her wings extended while walking just feels right.

"Wow! how's that for luck?" she said smiling. It was amazing! What are the chances that she would meet somepony from Manehattan out here?

"I'm a bit of a speed freak. I need more space to practice. Where else than Ponyville?"

"about 10, I think. it has been awhile though." entering Steam's shop, Dylgo admired the various trinkets along the walls.

"Very nice. It can't be easy to make all this." following Steam, she was still admiring the handywork downstairs. "it's no problem at all. I'm not very neat myself." seeing a Unicorn use her magic was always slightly interesting to Dylgo.

"It's really nice. I really appreciate this." She said as she smiled at the unicorn. wasting no time, she puts her bags down on the bed.

As Steam got a blanket, Dylgo decided to speak up. "It's still a little early in the day." She was going to say more, but she was interrupted by the sound of the box.

"Thank you. It's been a long time since I've heard one of those. But there's still plenty of time in the day. I was actually wondering where the library was. Most of my favorite books belonged to my parents. I wouldn't mind getting something to eat either."

Dylgo smiled and stretched her wings a little. it's been a little while since she's flown. a little practice might be in order.

Dylgo stayed behind and got out a picture that was taken a long time of her entire family. she remembered that day fondly. she was just a little filly. she hadn't even earned her cutie mark yet. after checking on a few of her other possessions she brought, she heads downstairs.

"Sugarcube Corner sounds nice. Why don't we eat there?"

"I think I'll have a couple chocolate cupcakes." Dylgo hadn't realized how good that sounded until she said it. it had been awhile since she's had any. She instinctively licks her lips in anticipation.

"I heard rumors about this place back in Manehattan, but I never thought I'd be standing here. In fact I would tell my sister that I would bring her here someday. Too bad she's in Trottingham."

The cupcakes looked amazing. eating one, her tongue confirmed what she was expecting.

"mmm! It appears the rumors are true!" she said smiling. "I have some money to pay you back for this if you want."

It's always been in her nature to be as polite as she could. If there was anything that would ruin her day, it was someone who was being impolite or a bully.

The second cupcake was just as good. after finishing her cupcake, she flapped her wings twice in enjoyment.

"mmm, I'm coming back here later. These cupcakes are amazing!" she said smiling some more. when she realized her wings were still fully extended, she folded them in, blushing a little from embarrassment.

Dylgo giggled a little at the compliment. "thanks." she said smiling.

"yeah, the Library sounds good. I'm ready when you are." She stood up after saying this. noticing that her wing felt a little uncomfortable folded, she extends the one wing to examine it. just a ruffled feather or two. it can wait.

Dylgo followed Steam. after awhile they came up to a large tree.

"it's certainly a unique building." she said as she made her way inside. "it shouldn't be long, I only need two books." trying to remember the exact names of the books, she walks inside.
