A Run-In

Ashen Cloud, a pegasi pony relatively new to Ponyville, is underneath an old pony's home, trying to find her pet bird which flew down inside and hasn't come out for the past hour. "The underside of the porch's floorboards are dark and full of cobwebs, the wood withered with age. "Darn..why did your bird fly down here anyhow?" He eases himself deeper under there, questioning why in his head why it flew down there. He hears a few faint tweets, rushing towards it. "Ma'am I think I found him!" He exclaims, his voice mostly muffled in the enclosed space.

"Aha!" He says as he pulls a bright red bird out of a web, itself a bit spooked. "Got him...now I gotta get out." He pulls his legs and hooves to his body and slowly and uncomfortably turns around, popping out of the large crack in the side of the old pony's house. He shakes himself off and brushes the webs out of his mohawk mane. "Jeez..don't go down there again." He says to the bird with a slight smile, he walks over to the door and suddenly gets smacked in the front by the door being flung open, the bird fluttering by the wooden rails and watch him fall on his back. "Oww..." He feels his forehead and opens his eyes,, his vision hazed and he focuses on the pony in front of him...

. . . A tiny, gray "pony" fell back onto her haunches with an "Umph"! Her eyes gazed down at the massive pegasus in lying down in front of her. Her long ears fell back, and the tears forming in the corner of her eyes promptly turned into a loud, wailing torrent.

"M-MOMMA?!"

Freckles cover the bridge of her muzzle, which becomes a more peachy color as you got down closer to her nose and mouth. That same color covers the inside of her tall ears and on her furless belly. She doesn't have very much of a mane compared to most ponies her age, but what is there is scruffy and chest-nut brown. Her tail also lacks hair, being mostly spine up to the tip, where there's a tuft of that same brown hair. On a closer look, she doesn't seem to be a pony at all, but perhaps a young donkey or a mule.
