Sketching from life

Rosethorn walked slowly through Ponyville.

Gosh. Theres so many ponies here.... She thought to herself.

Rosethorn was looking for the big tree in town square.

After looking around for a while she was glad to have found it. She walked underneath it and carefully took out her supplies. She picked up her pencil in her mouth and began to draw.

Willow flew overhead, she was going to start working a few minutes early today. She spotted a pony under a tree in the town square.

work could wait for a few minutes she thought, before flying down to say hi

"Hi!" she said, hovering upside down in front of the pony, "I'm Willow Cloud"

Rosethorn looked up from her paper.

She stared blankly ahead of her... that's strange I could have sworn I heard someone...

She looked around, Rosethorn looked up and saw a pegasus flying upside down.
"Oh! IshoughtI Wash Heashung..."

Rosethorn had forgotten to drop her pencil from her mouth. She blushed and placed the pencil on the floor.

"Hi Willow Cloud my name is Rosethorn, nice to meet you!"

Willow turned the right way up, and landed on the ground, her sisters thought her doing that stupid trick to spook ponies was foalish and silly, but Willow enjoyed it so kept doing it.
"Nice to meet you too, you must be new in town. because I haven't seen you around Ponyville, so where you from if you don't mind me askin' " Willow replied as she folded her wings

Rosethorn watched the Pegasus as she gracefully landed.

"I'm a nomad of sorts, I don't really have a permanent home as I tend to move around whenever I feel I've stayed in one place too long...but most recently I've come from Fillydelphia."

Rosethorn closed her eyes and wondered if she had answered the question correctly.

She opened them again and hoped that Willow Cloud hadn't noticed how nervous she was.

"Wow, you must have seen so much. Unlike little me, stuck in Ponyville my whole life" Willow Cloud replied in awe, before looking at her hooves and disturbing a little of the dirt on the ground. before looking up again, flicking her mane out of the way of her eyes "Sorry, if I spooked you saying hi, it's just a dumb trick I do"

"Oh, don't worry about it." Rosethorn replied

"Nothing really scares me much...hmm...except for ponies who get right in your face when they talk."

was that a smart thing to say? oooh, now she's gonna think i'm wierd...

Rosethorn closed her eyes again and tried to think of a million different things to talk about...

"...what is there to do around here?" she abruptly asked.

"Not much, Ponyville is pretty quiet," Willow replied, looking at the ground for a moment, before flicking her mane out of her eyes again, "There is the library, the park and there is almost always some party going on at Sugarcube corner, the local bakery,"

"Oh that sounds like a REALLY fun place then, hmmmm... maybe I'll go there later."

Rosethorn thought about how delicious a place called Sugarcube corner sounded.

"Well, i'd better get going, skies won't keep themselves clear," Willow said, looking up at the sky, already spotting a few pesky dark clouds "It was nice meeting you, Rosethorn" she continued before taking off, heading for the skies to get started on her work

"Goodbye." Rosethorn watched the Pegasus fly off into the sky.

Hmmm...I wonder how it would feel if I could fly...

Rosethorn suddenly got inspiration and began to draw.
