Klick-Klack lay on his back, gazing at the ceiling of his workshop. He often did this during his mental blocks, which proved to be a burden due to the lack of inspiration. Before he knew it, he was counting cracks in the ceiling. This annoyed him, because he did indeed have work to do. His workshop was not exactly a wonderful sight, building a contrast between it and most of Equestria. Tools layed scattered on the ground, picturing the moments of stressed work. Design graphs, sketches, old books and other miscellaneous items accesorized his room, and the smell of progress was absent, choked by all the junk.
Klick-Klack liked his new house, it was not unnecessarilly large, (He was experienced in the art of taking 10 whole minutes to head to the dining room from his own room in his old house) nor too petite. It was an ideal size. He closed his eyes, and dreamt of flight. To escape this havoc and to be truly undeniably free. He was then disturbed by a loud beeper, a contraption he designed on his long journey. The machines function was, in a nutshell, to keep him from getting distracted. Working on the basics of discharge detectors, the machine detectes when Klick-Klacks brain is losing focus, then applies this information to its programmed criteria that if Klick-Klack is daydreaming instead of working inbetween 9 am and 11pm, it will beep loudly to remind him of his goal.
"All right, all right." he responded, and rose to his workdesk.
"Ok, now let's see." He drew his hoof down his joblist, then halted.
"That's right! Gemstones!" The word Gem threw him back to last night, in that heavy storm, where he met that beautiful unicorn in the tavern. He sat there in his thoughts, until another loud beep sent him back to reality.
"Ok, focus. Gemstones.... yes... that particular amethyst? Ok... It looks like I'll need to take a trip to the Ponyville library..."
